Happy to Read for “Outspoken Poetry!”

By September 27, 2014February 24th, 2018No Comments

This afternoon I was happy to read a little Mary Oliver (and Shel Silverstein, and Naomi Shihab Nye, and John Brantingham, and Nancy Paddock) as part of Outspoken Poetry.

Wondering what “Outspoken Poetry” is? Think: Poetry flash “mob” of one poet or reader, or poetry descending from the sky onto a coffeeshop, cyclery or bar!

In this case, I was reading at Cottonwood Coffee in Brookings.

Thanks to Darla Bielfeldt for organizing this grassroots effort.

To catch more Outspoken Poetry readings, “like” the Outspoken Poetry Facebook page or follow on Twitter (@outspokenptry). I hear there’s even a website in the works. Watch for http://www.outspokenpoetry.org/.
