Attention, friends in the Brookings area!
I’m helping to organize the “Common Good Film Series,” which will present one documentary or independent film per month at the Brookings Public Library. The titles will focus on important current issues in our region and around the world. The films will usually show at 6:30 pm on the third Tuesday of each month, beginning in September.
Admission will be free. Donations will be very welcome, however, as we will usually have to pay screening license fees to present the films.
We’ve set up a “Common Good Film Series” website, a Facebook page, and a Twitter account to help with publicity. You can also sign up to be on our monthly mailing list. Relevant links are listed below.
I hope you’ll be a regular at the screenings! We’re just getting off the ground, so we don’t yet have film titles for the fall to share with you. Give us a day or so and we should know for certain about September’s film.
Did I mention there will be popcorn?! 🙂
